GM is an architectural practice founded in 2022, dedicated to creating spaces that enable diverse possibilities of life.

We work across various project scales and stages, from initial concepts to full realization. Our approach is driven by ideas, responsive to context, and mindful of the lasting impact of architecture, with a focus on reuse, and adaptability for future uses.

Nur Gayretli graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Dokuz Eylül University in 2013. Believing that practice and theory should go hand in hand, she completed a Master's in History, Theory, and Criticism in Architecture at Bilgi University in 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. İhsan Bilgin. Her dissertation was titled "Confrontations in Dwelling: Houses of Levent Neighbourhood."

Nur’s contribution to the artwork "Out of Istanbul?" by Sinan Logie and Yoann Morvan was exhibited at the MAXXI Museum in Rome. Over the course of her career, she has held significant roles in a variety of projects at leading design firms in Istanbul, including TEGET, SML, and MAS. Notably, at MAS, the project "A Place to Be" won the Jury Special Prize at Yapı Kataloğu, and the İzmir University of Economics Campus Project (a collaboration between MAS and MIMLAB) won 1st Prize in a national competition.

In addition to her professional work, Nur has been teaching design studios at Medipol University and Bilgi University, while also conducting cultural engagements with AkbankSanat as a presenter of design talk series.
Nur has been bringing her versatile background to Gayretli Mimarlar since 2022.
